Brittany Fuson designs - Is this girl talented or what? She designs all sorts of paper products from invitations to stationery. My favorite is her custom bridal portrait. You send her a picture of you in your dress (or whoever it is for) and she sketches the dress in detail. Isn't it fabulous? Still thinking about getting one of these, I just don't know where I'd put it right now. She is from my hometown and just started her business 2 years ago. Her designs have really taken off, no wonder why!
Make sense now? Well, I already did the frame with our wedding memorabilia but still wanted to do something with my wedding dress, flowers, cake, bible verses, etc. Then, the other day I stumbled across this.
IN LOVE! The colors blend so wonderfully and the shape of the cake pedestal is just beautiful. Not to mention the abstract roses in the background, perfect! So, I thought, why not do a painting of our wedding cake. Should be simple enough, right? So without really even thinking it through I headed to Michaels to pick up a canvas and some paints. I couldn't wait to get started! I sketched out my painting and went to work! Here is my masterpiece...

I had a blast making this and must say, it is one of my favorite things I've done. I am still considering doing an abstract rose background like the cake and pedestal. I just can't decide. What do ya'll think? Looking forward to finding more creative ways to display our wedding details. I am running out of wall space though!
