Red and white makes the Holidays merry and bright!

I originally was in between the ornament wreath and this ribbon mesh wreath for our front door. I saw this wreath at Junior League's annual Tinsel and Treasure at the beginning of November. Since I couldn't decide, I gave Seth the last say! He chose the ornament wreath. But I've had this thought in my head... Only if we had somewhere else to hang another wreath (we already have one inside, too). So when my sister requested a wreath, I knew exactly what to do.

These are the materials that I started with (all from Hobby Lobby):
your basic 18" or 24" wreath - $3.50
30' for poly deco mesh or ribbon mesh - $5.00
30' of ribbon with wire edge - $3.00 (lots left over)
= $11.50 plus tax, not bad.

These were selling at T&T for $35+. Granted they did have a little more detail.

Here is the wreath after a whole roll of ribbon mesh! Starting in the inner circle, I took the end of the mesh and bunched it together. Using two branches, I tied the ribbon to the wreath. Then took 6 or 8 inches of mesh and bunched it up again using the branches as twist ties. Sounds confusing but it is so so easy and impossible to mess up. Once I made it all the way around in the inner circle, I moved to the outside. Looks pretty plain without the finishing touches...

I made this ribbon out of the wire edge ribbon and attached it with ribbon which also allows the wreath to hang. I had some extra ornaments and snowflakes around the house that I attached with Christmas ornament hangers.

Up close and personal.

Final product! Yay!!! I think it will look great on Brooke's porch with her red chairs. I will have to say, this picture does not do the wreath justice!

If you are interested in making this wreath, it is so simple and inexpensive. I definitely recommend it! Ribbon mesh comes in TONS of colors and you can add just about any decorative items or extra ribbon colors to your liking.

I had planned on finishing our stockings tonight but just like baby Knox, I am too tired. So, it's on my to do list for the weekend!
